Bunny’s Bubbles: Self-care and Educating App on Relationship Communication

BA Capstone Thesis

Abstract

I create interactive visual work that reimagines how emotional learning is experienced. My practice is shaped by personal encounters with miscommunication, burnout, and emotional overwhelm—moments that reveal how often people lack accessible ways to understand and express what they feel. I aim to reframe the clinical and distant tone of traditional approach by designing experiences that are intuitive, engaging, and grounded in human connection.

Bunny’s Bubbles is an interactive mobile project that translates complex emotional concepts into a visually soft, exploratory environment. Using gentle illustration, calming color palettes, and game-based mechanics, I construct a space that encourages users to actively engage with emotional awareness, communication patterns, and self-regulation. The work draws from user-centered design and psychological frameworks, shaping interactions that feel natural rather than prescriptive. Through participation, users are invited to slow down, reflect, and practice new ways of responding to emotional challenges.

At its core, my work focuses on accessibility and empathy. I view emotional intelligence as an ongoing practice that develops over time, not a fixed trait. By blending creativity with intention, I strive to create experiences that feel supportive, accessible, and impactful, offering users a meaningful way to build understanding within themselves and with others.
